This is what I did with Ati before she was pregnant. What? It has been a long time ago.......!!!!

Gita ask me to teach her how to make patchwork. So, we met last Saturday 20th December 2008. As this was her first time to do patchwork and quilting, I'll try to make the steps as simple as possible
Step 1
Create a pattern by making a drawing like I do:

Step 2
Collect fabrics. Fabrics should be of similar weight and texture.
Wash the fabric in cold water and mild soap. Let dry, then iron.

Step 3
Make or purchase a square template in the desired size.
Step 4
Place the template along the straight grain of the fabric, and trace the template with a tailor's pencil or chalk.

Step 5
Cut out pieces with sharp scissors than join the pieces with ¼ inch seams.
